AgSri, one of the first project developers to issue WBCs under the Water Benefit Standard, was the recipient of an award from the Millennium Alliance on the 25th of November in Delhi, India for their innovative Sustainable Sugarcane Initiative (SSI) techniques.

The award, given to nearly 20 organizations throughout India, recognizes AgSri’s contributions to providing “more with less” through a number of simple interventions in collaboration with smallholder sugarcane farmers in Maharashtra. We would like to congratulate AgSri on their success and are looking forward to our future collaboration as they expand their operations throughout India and abroad.
The Millennium Alliance is an organization that promotes sustainable development and innovation in India. Partners include the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the Technology Development Board (Department of Science and Technology, Government of India), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), ICCO Cooperation, ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth and the Wadhwani Initiative for Sustainable Health (WISH).
